Materials

  • Cut edge of a greyboard stack showing the compressed fibrous core

    Greyboard 1.5–3 mm

Printed first, then wrapped around the board. 157 gsm on the larger boxes.

Finishes

  • Gold foil letter pressed into navy paper, with a slight impression at the edge

    Hot foil stamp

Metal film pressed into the sheet. It reads as metal, not as ink.

  • Blind debossed leaf shape pressed into uncoated cream paper

    Emboss and deboss

A brass die raises or recesses the artwork, with no ink involved.

  • Two halves of the same navy paper, matte on the left, gloss on the right

    Matte and gloss lamination

Same print, two reflections. Matte hides marks, gloss adds depth.

  • Soft-touch matte navy surface with a fine orange-peel film texture

    Soft-touch lamination

Velvet film, almost no reflection, warm under the fingers.

  • Raised gloss varnish shapes catching light on a matte navy surface

    Spot UV

Gloss varnish applied only where the artwork asks for it.

  • Navy velvet lining inside a rigid box, with the fibre pile visible

    Velvet and suede lining

A fibre pile over the insert, and the first surface a customer touches.

Board grade follows the packed weight, the finish follows the budget per unit, and the signed sample settles the rest.

Material questions

The five that come up before every specification.

What is the difference between matte and soft-touch lamination?

Both are matte films. Standard matte is smoother and slightly more reflective; soft-touch has a fine texture that absorbs light and feels like suede.

Can foil and emboss be combined on the same logo?

Yes. Foil is stamped first, then embossed over it, which gives a raised metal mark. It uses a combined die and is quoted as two operations.

Is FSC-certified board available?

FSC-certified board is available on request and quoted per order. The paperwork follows the specific board used.

What is the minimum order?

500 pcs per size. A custom foil or emboss die is a one-off cost and does not change the run minimum.

How long does a sample take?

A digital sample takes 3–7 days. A production-line sample takes 7–10 days on the specified board and process.
